1. Why do I need the VIN?
Answer: The Vehicle Identification Number, commonly abbreviated to VIN, is the unique serial number used by the Australian automotive industry to identify individual cars. Each car had a unique VIN that is 17 characters long. When booking your vehicle in for a service, the VIN helps the mechanic correctly identify the correct parts to be fitted to the vehicle. Entering the VIN correctly in this field is critical to receiving quality assurance.
The VIN will only need to be entered once as Strictly Service will create a user account once a booking has been made. Next time you want to book a service, all your details will be saved.
2. Where do I find the VIN
Answer: The vehicle registration number can be found on the the registration sticker, the vehicle itself (dashboard) (under bonnet), or on the doorposts (where the door latches when it is closed). The vehicles VIN is also displayed on the registration certificate and insurance policy documentation.
